Who we are

Davangare is the sixth largest city in the state of Karnataka and is considered to be the cotton hub. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people, hence children are forced to help their parents on the field to earn some extra money for the household. This has given rise to a lot of exploitation of children. DBCLM (Don Bosco Child Labour Mission) is an initiative of the Salesians of Bangalore province in Davangere, Karnataka, aiming at the eradication of child labour. Started in the year 1996, it is in the forefront of eradicating many social evils especially those affecting children in Davangere district.
