Health Camp and Awareness Program
On 16 July 2026, a comprehensive Health Camp and Awareness Program was organized in Damanahalli and Chikkavangthihalli villages, Davangere Taluk. The initiative, conducted by the mobile clinic team under BREADS projects in collaboration with PHC Hemmanabettur, aimed to educate communities on nutrition, healthy food practices, and cancer awareness.
Led by Dr. Sneha (MBBS, MD) and Mrs. Gangamma (ACHO, GNM), the camp served 92 participants. Patients received medical check ups, including BP and GRBS monitoring, along with essential medicines. Dr. Sneha emphasized the importance of balanced diets, mindful eating, and preventive measures against lifestyle diseases. Mrs. Gangamma highlighted cancer symptoms, causes, and precautions, with a special focus on breast cancer awareness and early detection.
Participants expressed gratitude for the services, noting improved understanding of nutrition, hygiene, and preventive health practices. The camp fostered healthier choices and empowered villagers to take proactive steps toward well being.
