Don Bosco & BREADS Host High-Energy Inter-Village Quiz Competition in Jagaluru

Don Bosco Child Labour Mission (Davanagere), in partnership with BREADS Bengaluru, the CLE Project and the School Education Department, successfully hosted a vibrant quiz competition titled “Education is the Door to Freedom” at Gurubhavan, Jagaluru.

The event featured a unique public inauguration led by Rev. Fr. Reji Jacob (Director, Don Bosco Child Labour Mission), who unveiled a campaign sticker at the Jagaluru Bus Stand and released a pigeon-symbolizing the liberating power of knowledge.

A total of 60 young scholars representing 15 villages competed in a spirited 12-round contest featuring Buzzer, Audio, Video and Memory challenges designed to test rapid recall and critical thinking.

Team Hosakere emerged victorious, securing the first position with the highest score to earn the grand trophy, gold medals, cash prize and certificates. Team Davanagere claimed a commendable second place, while all participating teams received trophies and certificates in appreciation of their enthusiastic participation.

Attended by community leaders, educators, media representatives and proud parents, the initiative successfully fostered academic curiosity, boosted student confidence and reinforced education as a gateway to empowerment.
