District: Davanagere

Learning stepped beyond classroom walls as Don Bosco, Davangere, organized a one-day educational and recreational exposure trip for children and staff members to the iconic Jog Falls, the scenic landscapes of Honnavara, and the culturally rich town of Murudeshwar.

The exposure visit was designed to provide children with opportunities for experiential learning, recreation and meaningful engagement with the world beyond the shelter home. The journey became an unforgettable adventure filled with wonder, exploration and new discoveries.

At Jog Falls, the children were captivated by the breathtaking beauty and grandeur of one of India's tallest waterfalls. The visit inspired curiosity about nature and strengthened their appreciation for environmental conservation. The picturesque surroundings of Honnavara offered the children a refreshing glimpse of Karnataka's coastal charm, while Murudeshwar enriched their understanding of the state's cultural and spiritual heritage.

More than just a sightseeing trip, the experience became a valuable platform for learning and personal growth. Travelling together encouraged friendship, teamwork and cooperation, while also helping the children develop confidence, social skills and a broader worldview. Away from their daily routines, they found moments of joy, relaxation and inspiration that will remain cherished memories for years to come.

The laughter shared during the journey, the excitement of exploring new places and the lessons learned along the way made the visit both meaningful and transformative. Such initiatives play a vital role in promoting the holistic development and emotional well-being of children, empowering them to dream bigger and embrace new possibilities.

Through experiences like these, Don Bosco, Davangere continues its commitment to nurturing young minds by creating opportunities that educate, inspire and enrich the lives of the children entrusted to its care.
